Why am I suddenly getting the feeling that Slats really did act alone when he fired Tortorella?

Disagree, I think this team just sucks and can't adapt to a new style of play. Tortorella knew what he had and adjusted the style of play that would best suit the team.

This is not Vigneault's fault.

Bring up Beach, McIlrath, Miller. Keep Asham & Dorsett in the lineup. Give this team a drop of a pulse. Release, trade, sell, waive, give away, Pyatt & Pouliot. The team don't score anyway, might as well try to hit some people and drop the gloves so the fans don't fall asleep in their seats at The Garden or in front of their TV's

It's everybody's fault. Organizational failure, from the top down.

Agreed but Vigneault doesn't deserve to get spotlighted as the main issue here.

The main issue is, has and always will be Sather.

I agree to a point. Sather has to surround coach with the talent, but if talent doesn't fit that system, then in interim, system has to be tweaked. It hasn't, so blame is on both.

Everybody gets the blanket now. Lundqvist has to be better, Nash can't do that dumb spin-o-rama move, Callahan has to be better and not injured, Girardi has to wake from cryo sleep. Stepan has to play hard in one game. Everybody. I only mentioned a few but everybody is blamed.

Mine as well entertain the fans since they won't be doing a lot of winning.

The talent isn't there; how can Vigneault be blamed when he has jack sh!t to work with?

Well, it's about to get worse. AV admitted tonight he has to change his style and play a more defensive system. So, we will be playing a similar style to the devils. Yippee.

Devils have beaten the Rangers 3 times in 3 months this year. It's also they style that got this franchise to the ECF in 2012. AV doesn't know to operate a style like that, so it will just a poop show.

I think the rangers need to blow it up and move on. im even in favor of letting Callahan go either by trade or just not resigning him, and i am a huge fan of his. Girardi is a gold mine as well. There is nothing that can convince me that this team does not need to hit reset. nothing. Im actually rooting for them to lose now just so some changes happen sooner. ive lost all sentiment for this lineup.

Yeah and it's terrible to watch and bad for the game. That's why the devils have no fans. Their games are incredibly boring.

Nothing matters to me besides player movement. I am all set with this group of NY Rangers.

When is the last time the rangers, Yankees, Knicks, or giants blew it up and started over? It doesn't happen. Not in this city. Dream on.

Been lobbying for this since the season started. Glad some of you are hopping on board this bandwagon.

The name of the game is winning. You wanna watch the like of Steve Oleksy, Rich Clune, Carter Hutton, Phillipe Grubauer, Ben Scrivens and Tomas Hertl light up the Rangers? Or would you like the Rangers to win games?

Find it bizarre with how AV made a statement like that to the media, usually doesn't say things like that, even during the losing streaks in Vancouver. Not trolling, just honestly surprised.

well, i guess we have nothing to look forward to then because this team is going nowhere even with some sather branded band aid fixes that have trended over the years they still arent skilled enough to win a cup. I think the rangers turn a corner and make significant changes before next season. Dolan also knows the Rangers have a better chance at rebuilding and winning a championship than the knicks because they have intangibles like hank, nash(i still think he is part of the cup formula), and mac that dont have to be part of the house cleaning.

This team does not have enough offense to play run and gun and they're not tough/physical enough to play a Bruins type game. They're stuck in the middle. Sather has continually sh!t the bed on acquiring team toughness and it's once again rearing it's ugly head with this team.

You're not gonna see the Rangers give up on the year and sell off with the East so crappy and Dolan lookin to make some MSG transformation $ back and the Knicks somehow looking worse than the Rangers. Right now, the Rangers are his best shot so he'll be looking to add. They need a scorer, Cammalleri? They need toughness Glencross/Ott? And at what cost.

I usually am not a guy who wants to make a move to make a move but this team is so listless right now, they need to do something and fast.

Plus the Knicks are about to loose that turd Melo. That might actually help them. Chandler is real leader on that team.

its so obvious now. this team is like a computer with a massive virus. there are so many components effected that there is no other option but to buy a new computer. obviously we should keep core components like Hank(firewall software), Mac(anti-virus detection) and the processor(Nash), but most of the old system is garbage.

The Rangers will not blow it up and start over they will not trade off veterans to try and get younger. The people who run MSG are happy with a team that can make it to the playoffs and maybe win a. Round or two. Winning a cup would just be gravy for them.

The only way they would consider a rebuild is if people stopped gong to the games.
